Product Advertisements

Here are some of the advertisements of the products that existed long ago, but are no more available. It is also very difficult to find a person who knows these products; so old these products are.

But interestingly and surprisingly these advertisements have been designed way different from the generation of advertisements that were designed then.

Iron Beds and Swings 

Use of a character announcing through loud speaker on the road, which was a prevalent mode of promotion then (around 1930s). The typographic and visual representation of how would that loud announcement be heard is very interesting.

When we talk about Indian Stamps in Devanagari, two stamps that were designed in 1960s to commemorate 'Ashadhasya Pratham Divase' - First day of Aashadh (Marathi Month Aashadh), would be celebrated and cherished first.  This stamp is based on the painting by Professor Radha Charan Bagchi of Kala Bhavan, Shantiniketan illustrating scene from the great works of Kavi Kulguru Kalidas - The Meghaduta.
